withanalvaluewithin+/-0.2of0.0.Anyvalueabove0.2%orbelow-0.2%

indicatesthatacalibrationcheckshouldbeperformed(seeAppendixE).

TIP:HigherTorqueranges(HAandHB)willquicklyreturntothezero

valuewithoutdisplayingmuchoscillation.Thisisnormalbehavior.

TheOscillationCheckisnotaguaranteeofpropercalibration.Itisonlyan

indicationoftheperformanceofthelowerbearingoftherheometer.Calibration

canonlybeveriedthroughtheuseofacalibrationstandardsuchasBrookeld

Silicone and Mineral Oil standards.
