Global Alarm: TheGlobalAlarmestablishesasinglemeasurementparameterwitharangeof

acceptance.Whenever the measured value exceedsthis rangeof acceptance,

anaudibleandvisualalarmwillbeissued.TheGlobalAlarmwillapplytoany

testthatisrun.TheQCLimitalsoestablishesameasurementparameterwitha

rangeofacceptance;however,theQCLimitisappliedonlytothetestinwhich

itisdened.

TheGlobalAlarmcanbesetforanyofthefourmeasurementparametersincluding;

ShearStress,Temperature,TorqueandViscosity.Onceaparameterisselected,

bothlowandhighlimitsmustbeentered.Theselimitsareindependentofthe

spindleandspeedselected.Whentheglobalalarmistriggered,theDV3Twill

provideanaudiblealarmandaWarningmessageonthescreen(seeFigureV-8).

Theerrormessagewillprovidesomedetailaboutthealarmcondition.Thetest

anddatacollectionwillcontinuewhiletheWarningmessageisdisplayed.The

audiblealarmwillcontinuetosounduntiltheoperatortouchestheOKbutton

withintheWarningbox.
